Unfinished thoughts about Hotel Rwanda
If you have not seen this movie yet, RUN--don't walk--to your nearest perveyor of film. This is a compelling story that is very well executed in film. I saw it last night, and I'm still sifting through scenes from it in my mind's eye. Watching the Rwandan genocide, hearing a pastor from Rwanda speak in church the other week, and read the news about the current conflict in the Sudan make one feel hopeless about the human condition. If it weren't for those blazes of hope, like Paul Rusesabagina in Hotel Rwanda, it would be hard for me to believe that good can conquer over evil.
