thanks for the great article...
i think(hope)that consumers would demand more humanity/safety if they only knew what their food and the people who produce/harvest it went through to get it to their mouths...
fortunately there is strong interest in locally produced & organic food here in the NW and we get a pretty good selection, especially at weekly farmers markets.
